Join Fridays came through

I started Join Fridays on March 20th. To date, I have lost 24lbs in 85 days on tirzepatide. I have about 120 more to lose.

I did as much research as I could first, as my insurance denied my PA. And because it is Tricare, the coupon won’t work for name brand.

I gained my weight through my pregnancies and then on average 3-5lbs per year. Not bad, to only gain 3-5lbs per year. That’s what I thought the first few years. But when you multiply that by 32 years - that is 96-160 lbs of weight gain. And that is where I’m at - 140lbs overweight.

I have tried with Dr’s through the years to help me. I got responses like, “Just eat better.” “Exercise more.” “Here, set up an appointment with a nutritionist.” “Let’s face it, your fat because you eat too much.”

Yes, the nutritionist helped me to understand what foods to eat, I went low calorie, Keto, Atkins, whole foods, vegetarian, you name it, I tried it.

I decided that I had to find a way to afford these new meds - and went down the path of trying to find a provider that seemed legitimate. (Wish I had seen this chart that is on this website first - it would have simplified that for me!) I ended up choosing Join Fridays. One is price point, but more than that, I found a lot of people that were reporting good results and happy with their service. I did my labs with my own Dr, and plan to continue to follow up with her (yes, I finally found a good one that truly tried to get me the medication - and prescribed it for me, unfortunately, I couldn’t afford it through her prescription, and she couldn’t prescribe to a compounding pharmacy.)

I have been happy with Join Fridays. I did have one issue with a shipment of meds - but they took care of me.

As I titrate up, I will consider changing providers to save costs. Luckily, I have seen continued results at the second titration level (.5) and plan to stay on that as long as I continue to see results.

I have been on. TikTok, Reddit, and many facebook groups on this topic, but hoping to find a place to land with a group of others that are experiencing the same things and supporting each other.

Thank you for sharing your experience with JoinFridays. I just started with them and the start was a little rocky. I’m still waiting for my first shipment, but that’s given the semaglutide I’d been on a chance to leave my system. I’m also hoping to stay on a lower dose for as long as possible. With Wegovy, I was lucky enough to start losing right away…fingers crossed!

Congrats on your success, and here’s to much more!
